ERSKINE ACQUIRES TWO US PHOTOCOPIER DISTRIBUTORS

By CBR Staff Writer

Hot on the heels of the acquisition of Quest Group Plc (CI No 1,019) office equipment distributor Erskine House Group Plc has agreed to buy two US photocopier distributors in cash deals totalling $16m: it is paying $5.4m for Manhattan-based Keystone Business Controls Inc which distributes Sharp equipment, plus a maximum of $10.7m for System Devices & Supplies Inc, headquartered in Miami, Florida – $6.7m to be paid up-front with the balance pegged to future performance; the purchases, which will be financed from existing resources, are part of Erskine’s aim of doubling the size of its US operations, but it is not ignoring Europe however and says it plans to acquire two German companies by the end of the year.
