ERICSSON WINS ORDER FOR AXE EXCHANGES FROM MOUNTAIN BELL

L M Ericsson has another order for AXE digital telephone exchanges from a US West unit: customer this time is Mountain Bell, which will install the exchanges in Idaho, replacing more than 50 electromechanical exchanges; no value was given for the contract, which Ericsson says was won in competition with all the other firms offering digital exchanges on the US market, but it is thought to be for about $16m.
