ERICSSON WINS $40M CONTRACT FROM WEST GERMANY’S BUNDESPOST PTT

By CBR Staff Writer

L M Ericsson is, not too surprisingly, euphoric that its struggling Ericsson Information Systems unit has beaten the local suppliers to a monster $40m contract for Personalikes and 3270-type displays from West Germany’s state-owned Bundespost PTT: the contract covers includes 6,000 upgraded WS 286 AT-alikes, and Alfaskop terminals, and Ericsson won the business over 32 other makers of IBM Personalikes.
