ERICSSON TO END TELEPHONE MANUFACTURE IN SWEDEN

L M Ericsson Telephone Co is to end production of telephones in Sweden, with the phase-out, affecting 700 employees in Blekinge from 1989. It plans to move manufacturing to a site in the Far East. It makes 500,000 sets a year at Karlskrona.
