ERICSSON TO BUILD NETWORK FOR DUTCH TELECOM

By CBR Staff Writer

LM Ericsson Telefon AB says it will build a communications network for Dutch telecom operator Telfort BV – a joint venture between British Telecommunications Plc and NS, the Dutch national railway company. The completion of the network will be carried out in stages, with the first stage scheduled for completion by July 1, 1997, the date when the Dutch telecom market will be privatized. The initial part of the deal is estimated to be worth $33m.
