ERICSSON PREPARES TO LAUNCH SYSTEM 20

By CBR Staff Writer

L M Ericsson’s Ericsson Information Systems unit has begun introduction across Europe of an X/Open-compliant Unix machine. Details of the machine are sketchy but it is based on a Sun Microsystems Sun 3 series workstation and is called the System 20. Ericsson has added software to comply with the Swedish government’s call for additional security features. One of the first public viewings of the machine will be at the Hannover Fair in March.
