The Ericsson Hewlett-Packard Telecommunications joint venture has won an order worth some $35m over three years from Telecom Australia, which plans to base its next generation of management systems on the venture’s TMOS Telecommunications Management & Operations Support technology and products; the venture is owned 60% by L M Ericsson Telefon AB, 40% by Hewlett-Packard Co; deployment of the systems will start later this year and will eventually handle 8.0m digital lines.
