Global data centre services provider Equinix has partnered with enterprise cloud platform provider Tier 3 to jointly create a gateway to the cloud by offering Tier 3’s Enterprise Cloud Platform via Equinix International Business Exchange (IBX) data centres.
Using Tier 3’s Infrastructure as a Service across Platform, Equinix will provide enterprise customers with the business agility and cloud technologies, says Equinix.
Tier 3 offers built-in business continuity public cloud application to the enterprise market and will reportedly also enable isolated environments for each customer via security features.
Equinix data centres are said to include a secure, cross connect, customers to deploy a Virtual Private Cloud solution from Tier 3, transforming the public cloud into a virtual private environment that meets IT requirements for security and compliance.
Equinix Cloud and Content general manager Chris Sharp said the company’s network choice combined with access to a wide array of cloud services applications gives customers an environment to build and integrate private, public and hybrid cloud applications.
