Dutch data network vendor Equant NV has filed its preliminary prospectus for its IPO with the Paris and New York stock exchanges, with the share price to be announced on or about July 20 and an indicative price range of $18.50-$23. The company is offering 26.1 million new shares, of which 10.4 million will be offered in the US and Canada, or 13.2% of the share capital after the operation has been completed. It expects to raise between $480m and $600m, with its total value reaching somewhere between $3.7bn and $4.5bn. The joint global coordinators of the operation are Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and Salomon Barney, with the former as the sole bookrunner. Roadshows and bookbuilding begin on July 6, with the latter terminating on or about July 17.
