The Epicor Service Connect integration platform uses XML and web services to transform or combine application processes across enterprise applications and its business components, which are represented as web services outside of the application and can be accessed from within Service Connect, enabling steps to be added or removed from processes as required.
A long way from the SAP NetWeaver platform, it is designed to provide a straightforward solution for graphically mapping process flows and orchestrating and streamlining transactions, making it more suitable for use within its target market of SMEs. Built to work across Epicor and third-party applications, it can also be used within the Epicor applications to improve processes.
Service Connect is being provided as a standard component of the Epicor Vantage and Epicor iScala application suites and is available now. It will also soon be made available for Epicor Enterprise solutions.
