Xerox Corp, El Segundo, Califonia has added a Model 160 to its 4045 desk-top laser printer family: the 160 is designed to operate in a shared environment of mainframes, minicomputers, local area networks, personal computers and workstations and can switch between different printer emulations; it incorporates both a PostScript language emulation and the Xerox Interpress 3.0 Professional Graphics Set, which Xerox developed with Control-C Software, Beaverton, Oregon; it runs at up to 10 pages per minute, handles a montly print volume of up to 25,000 pages, has a copier option and is $10,000 to just over $12,000; first quarter 1990 ships.
