SEH Technology UK has designed a mobile printing solution called primos which helps people print from an iOS device.
Due to be showcased at the upcoming IP EXPO, primos facilitates printing from the device to any brand of printer using the corporate network.
Consisting of a compact box that can be connected to the corporate network, the system comes with a user interface for maintenance and administration of the shared printers.
Employees are also able to print from other subnets, not just their own. Companies are able to use their existing printer pools without requiring AirPrint printers or desktop PCs as print servers.
The solution also keeps any print job within the corporate network for local processing and provides point-to-point encryption.
primos will be on the market in June.
"Apple iOS devices have left the confines of the consumer market and gained a place in the corporate world; however, there has been a serious lag in integrating these devices into corporate IT," says Alan Hayward, Sales & Marketing Manager at SEH Technology UK Ltd.
"primos is ideal for any situation where employees use mobile iOS devices, for instance in hospitals, the design industry, or in construction," says Hayward.
