Entegrity Solutions Corp said Wednesday it has acquired Chromatix Inc in a move which will allow its corporate customers to roll out Entegrity email cryptography software to specific users faster using Chromatix directory technology. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Chromatix’s SafePages directory enables administrators to select exactly which users on their networks they wanted protected with encryption.

San Jose, California-based Entegrity says it will announce which products it will be integrating at the RSA 2000 security conference in San Jose in the first quarter, although it is unlikely to release a combined offering until the second quarter. SafePages will probably be integrated with Entegrity’s AssureMail, software which allows email users to incorporate security technology, acquired by Entegrity as part of the purchase of Sapher Servers Ltd in November last year (CI No 3,538). Entegrity will gain 15 staff from privately-held Chromatix, based in Columbia, Maryland.
