Dallas-based Ensemble Corp is shipping its Command Center add-in for Borland International Inc’s Paradox relational database: a menu-driven application generator for Paradox 3.5, it is designed to enable non-technical users to produce applications without programming, using existing Paradox tables, forms and reports; features include pull-down menus, multi-user table editing with automatically generated key fields, reports with user-definable queries, crosstab graphs, MS-DOS command calls, and custom script execution; users define applications using three dimensional graphical dialogue boxes, buttons and pick lists from within the program’s Auto Application Generator and the application is transparently compiled into a PAL library; Command Center costs $450, $340 for those ordering by January 31, and the early users also get a $50 upgrade coupon towards Command Center for future releases of Paradox.
