Dallas, Texas-based Ensemble Corp is shipping Command Center, a new add-in product for Paradox, Borland International Inc’s flagship relational database software. Command Center, a menu-driven application generator for Paradox 3.5, is designed to enable non-technical users to produce complete, multi-user business applications without programming, by using their existing Paradox tables, forms and reports. Features of a typical application created with Command Center include pull-down menus, multi-user table editing with automatically generated key fields, reports with user-definable queries, crosstab graphs, MS-DOS command calls, and custom script execution. The user or developer defines the application using three-dimensional graphical user interface dialogue boxes, buttons and pick lists from within Command Center’s Auto Application Generator. The entire application is then transparently compiled into a Paradox Application Language library. Modifications can be made by selecting the Generator option while the application is running. Command Center sells for $500.
