Siebe Plc announced yesterday that it is consolidating its business activities into three operating divisions – Siebe Control Systems, Siebe Temperature & Appliance Controls and Siebe Diversified Products – to improve the match of its businesses with their markets. The new Control Systems unit will have its headquarters in the US and includes the Foxboro Co acquisition: it will be run by George Sarney, just hired from Raytheon Co. Brian McMahon is to be president and chief operating officer for Siebe Diversified Products, which will be based in Windsor, Berkshire, succeeded John Prohaska, heading for retirement at year-end. James Mueller becomes president and chief operating officer of Siebe Temperature & Appliance Controls based in Columbus, Ohio. The division includes Robertshaw, Ranco Inc, Siebe Controls Europe, Ranco Japan and Teccor. All three men report to Allen Yurko, managing director and chief operating officer of Siebe Plc.
