Endeca Technologies has expanded its relationship with SAP. Under the terms of the OEM agreement, Endeca will integrate Xcelsius software and SAP BusinessObjects Intelligent Search software into the Endeca Information Access Platform for faster and easier deployment of search applications and query federation inside the enterprise.
Endeca will integrate Xcelsius dashboards and visualisation software and SAP BusinessObjects Intelligent Search with the Endeca platform to provide employees with the clarity and insight to make more effective business decisions, even when working with large volumes of complex information.
The company claims that this approach to build analytics-intensive search applications means improved efficiency for IT organisations and reduced deployment time, leading to increased productivity and reduced costs across the value chain.
By integrating Xcelsius with Endeca’s platform, Endeca combines familiar data visualisations with the guided navigation experience for analytics-intensive search applications. Rather than relying on IT, or teams of analysts to produce static reports, customers can extend the value of existing IT investments with interactive visualisation. Customers gain access to customisable and interactive views at any intersection in the data, providing a holistic understanding of the context around a particular decision.
By integrating SAP BusinessObjects Intelligent Search with the Endeca platform, Endeca provides customers with a single point of access to multiple sources, including secured sources which cannot be indexed, open sources on the public web, and multiple Endeca search applications.
The company said that for customers including the intelligence community with multiple search applications in different parts of the organisation, this integration gives them a single point of access to all that information and guidance in determining which search applications matter most to the decision at hand.
