Emtec Federal, an IT consultant and managed services provider, has been selected as one of the prime vendors on the Federal Bureau of Investigation Information Technology Supplies and Support Services (FBI IT Triple S) contract.
The FBI IT Triple S is a multiple award, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract that includes a one-year base period plus seven additional one-year options with a ceiling of $30bn.
Under the terms of the contract, Emtec Federal will provide strategic and tactical IT support services in the disciplines of hardware and software infrastructure related services, operations and maintenance, technical and development and other ancillary IT services including studies and research and business process improvement.
Emtec Federal vice president of sales Jeff Posey said the company recognises the importance of a local operational support facility that is capable of providing IT support operations to the FBI IT Triple S contract management team and one of the FBI’s largest divisions, the Criminal Justice Information Services Division.
