Year-old Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania-based EMD Enterprises Inc has released a 32-bit file encryption program that it hopes will compete with the like of McAfee Associates Inc and RSA Data Security Inc. EMD’s $50 Encryptor kit for Windows95 and NT supports multiple encryption algorithms including Blowfish DES and EMD’s own proprietary EMD-1 technology, and uses both drag- and-drop and point-and-click techniques to secure files and mail sent over the Internet.
