Surprising as it may seem, there are still quite a few IBM System/38s out there, and EMC Corp, Hopkinton, Massachusetts has cut prices in its 4Mb memory boards for the 38 by 33% to $2,000 to aid users planning to upgrade to the AS/400. To assist that migration, it is offering trade-in credits on its System/38 against its AS/400 memory.
