EMC has introduced new line of products and services to enable organisations to derive improved insight and economic value from Big Data.
Greenplum Chorus is a social and collaborative toolset designed for the Data Science teams, which will enable them to iterate on the development of datasets and ensure that insights are delivered to the business, by delivering a Facebook-like social collaboration tool.
EMC has introduced an OpenChorus Initiative to speed up the adoption of collaborative and social data applications running on the top of the Greenplum Chorus platform.
The Greenplum partner ecosystem will connect Greenplum analytic tools with customers existing data sources by providing customers the necessary applications.
EMC Products, Greenplum division senior vice-president Scott Yara said Chorus stands at the intersection of social and Big Data.
" While most of the industry is focused on loading speeds, processing times and so on, EMC is taking the lead on ‘socializing’ Big Data analytics," said Yara.
