During the course of the trial, Pelephone users will test the Emblaze technology over the Motorola CDMA network, in order to view video clips (news updates, entertainment, financial news) on demand and send video e-mail using the Emblaze Messaging technology.

The trial consists of added value applications such as mobile commerce ticketing, and Visual SMS – Greeting card applications.

Yossi Fait, VP business development, at Pelephone said: Pelephone will launch commercially a 2.75G network system during Q1/2002 and will join a small group of leading operators in the world that have the ability to exercise data transfer at speed of 144 kbps. Fait hopes that the Emblaze technology will take a main roll when Pelephone introduces value added services based on the 2.75G network.

Dror Ginzberg, Chief Technology Officer of Emblaze said: As an Israeli company we are particularly pleased to be conducting a trial with Pelephone. For them to have chosen Emblaze Systems’ solution is an endorsement of our technology.
