Elxsi Corp, San Jose, California has introduced five models of what it is calling the Elxsi System 6000 modular computer system, all fully hardware and software compatible with its current System 6400. The System 6000 includes single or dual processor models, main memory from 16Mb to 512Mb, and system components to plug into its 320Mbyte-per-second system bus. The new models are out next month, and will range in price from $295,000 to $695,000.
