ELXSI HAS ORDERS FOR SYSTEM 6400s FROM KOREA, INDIA, JAPAN, BRITAIN AND CHINA

By CBR Staff Writer

Elxsi Corp’s machines may have only modest success in the US, but they are definitely seen as sexy in the far-flung corners of the globe: the San Jose company has announced sales of its System 6400 mini-supercomputers to the Korean Institute of Science and Technology; the Oil and Natural Gas Commission of India; an unnamed Japanese company; a major British defense group; and a university in the Republic of China, which we have a suspicion is intended to indicate Taiwan and not the People’s Republic of China.
