With the creation of a sustainable services-based environment, Elica is looking to reduce IT costs by unlocking the value of existing systems, improve time-to-market of new service-based offerings and provide a single view of business operations across the enterprise.

Elica’s intense acquisition activity and global OEM agreements have resulted in a number of disparate applications transferring files and data from third parties to core systems through point-to-point interfaces. Using Tibco BusinessWorks will help increase efficiency by seamlessly enabling the integration and orchestration of disparate systems with minimal to no programming.

The project will initially focus on integrating Elica’s AS/400-based billing and enterprise resource planning systems with order management to automatically feed data into its back-office systems. In addition, Tibco BusinessWorks’ web-based interface will help to monitor systems and processes, enabling real-time information exchange to keep employees informed on critical issues.
