Electronic Data Systems Corp, which has been telling the world about its ambitions to expand its relatively small consulting business for some time now, has its eye on the A T Kearney Inc consultancy, the Wall Street Journal reports. Marvin Schiller, Kearney’s second-biggest shareholder and former vice-chairman, told the paper that the General Motors Corp company resumed talks with Kearney this month after talks that had been running six months broke down on price in early January. Kearney estimates its global revenues to have reached $346m in 1994, up from $278m in 1993; Electronic Data did some $200m in consultancy in 1994.
