Electronic Data Systems Corp’s new Technical Products Division has announced an agreement with Los Angeles-based Isocor Inc whereby it will sell the Isocor family of X400 messaging servers, gateways and desktop client products throughout the European market. The Technical Products Division was introduced in August as a new Electronic Data Systems Europe group, which will specialise in providing desktop systems and services. A similar division in the US has been ranked among the top 10 personal computer resellers, the company said. EDS’s global expertise and experience in managing large-scale informtation technology services projects will greatly assist us in addressing complex and multinational implementations of standards-based X400 messaging technology for both corporate and government users, comments Paul Gigg, managing director of Isocor UK. Isocor’s Isoplex servers are based on the CCITT’s 1988 set of X400 recommendations.
