Electronic Data Systems Corp, France Telecom Intelmatique and US West Marketing Resources are joining forces to bring interactive financial transaction services into homes and businesses: they are forming Interactive Transaction Partners to deliver and market interactive financial and information transaction services to financial institutions, retailers and major billers who, in turn, will remarket the services to consumers and small businesses under their own names, starting in April; services will include home banking, bill payment and bill presentation as integrated products; customers will be able to access the service by touch-tone telephone, personal computer and modem or Minitel terminal to transfer funds, verify balances and pay or review their outstanding bills.
