ELECTRONIC DATA SYSTEMS APPOINT NEW HEAD IN FRANCE

By CBR Staff Writer

Ending its six-month-long search, Electronic Data Systems Corp has appointed its European financial affairs manager Alain Richard to take the reins at its French subsidiary, after the departure of Jacques Tordjman: Richard, a University of California at Los Angeles alumnus with a Master of Business Administration and a degree from France’s Ecole Superieure d’Economie, has worked at the company since 1989, where he is said to have been directly responsible for some of its biggest contract wins in Europe, including the Inland Revenue in the UK and Kooperativa Forbundet in Sweden; he replaces John Bateman, EDS Europe group executive, who was filling in until a permanent replacement was found.
