ELECTRONIC DATA, McGRAW-HILL TEAM ON BUSINESS NEWS SERVICE

By CBR Staff Writer

GM’s Electronic Data Systems Corp and McGraw-Hill Inc yesterday announced a five year agreement to market jointly the McGraw-Hill Executive One electronic news service, claiming it to be one of the most extensive FM-band satellite-delivered business news services ever developed. The service provides subscribers with news and information from titles such as Business Week, Byte, Standard & Poor’s and McGraw-Hill News, as well as Associated Press and PR Newswire, delivered to personals and user information systems. As well as marketing the service, the partners plan mainframe software for multiple distribution in a firm. The service was developed by McGraw-Hill Information Management Co, New York.
