Electrone Launches New Credit Card Processing Terminal

Electrone Americas, a provider of IT peripherals, has launched a non-proprietary EAL 8908 credit card processing terminal for merchant service providers for their credit card processing needs.

By CBR Staff Writer

These EAL 8908 units are suitable for POS solutions for processing credit cards, debit cards, smart chip cards, gift cards, and other electronically-submitted retail transactions.

Electrone’s EAL 8908 features include a small footprint; 32-bit microprocessor; thermal printer; ATM-style interface; back-lit display; four separate SIM card slots (for wireless mobility); easy-press keys; and multiple connectivity options (Ethernet, modem, GSM, GPRS, and mini USB).

Furthermore, since the EAL 8908 is non-proprietary, the credit card processing terminal can be programmed to work with virtually any merchant service provider’s software and network.

Electrone’s EAL 8908 credit card processing terminals give merchant service providers an economic, all-in-one POS alternative to integrate with their merchant networks. With applications including integration with non-permanent POS systems (for merchants with seasonable businesses); as well as mobile POS systems for taxis and busy restaurants, Electrone’s terminals can enhance credit card processing for diverse merchant clientele.
