EGGHEAD DISCOUNT SOFTWARE PLANS TO SELL ITS UNIVERSITY PC SOFTWARE TRAINING AND INSTALLATION SERVICE

Egghead Discount Software Inc, Issquah, Washington plans to sell its Egghead University personal computer software training and installation service subsidiary to a company formed by Egghead founder and chairman Victor Alhadeff, which has put in a bid of $2.5m to buy and operate the subsidiary as a separate company; he plans to resign as chairman at Egghead’s regularly scheduled board meeting this month; Egghead will solicit other bids and Alhadeff will not be given the right to increase his bid except in the event of a material event affecting the Egghead University.
