UK-based operations management software company eg solutions has secured a three year hosted application contract worth £1.2m from an unnamed UK utility service provider.
Under the deal, the software company will provide its eg operational intelligence suite as the hosted application during the contract period that is expected to generate £650,000 in revenue for the company this year.
The hosted application will be part of the utility provider’s system and is expected to improve productivity, while reducing the cost of the service it provides to its business customers.
eg solutions CEO Elizabeth Gooch said that the contract represents potential for the company’s solutions in a broader range of industry sectors than just its core financial services market.
"It also reflects increasing customer demand for hosted solutions which we expect to grow and thus increase our recurring revenues," Gooch said.
eg operational intelligence software will be deployed in four areas including customer services, billing and industry data, risk and debt management, as well as service.
The software will also offer real time operational work management and real time visibility of work-in-progress, and provide consistent management information to support the utility customer in assessing performance management pro-actively.
