EEC COMMISSION TO ORDER MEMBER COUNTRIES TO OPEN UP FOR SUPPLY OF TELEPHONES ETC

The EEC Commission intends to order all 12 member countries to open up the supply of telephones, PABXs, modems and most other subscriber terminal equipment to free competition by December 31, 1990: the EEC termination equipment market is estimated at some $21,000m annually.
