Edward Snowden game introduced at App Store

Snowden Saga - Escape from Den of Iniquity first game to be inspired by the whistleblower.

By Duncan Macrae

A game based on NSA whistleblower Edward Snowdon has been released for mobile devices.

Snowden Saga – Escape from Den of Iniquity has been launched as a free download for iPhone, iPad and Android.

Its App Store listing describes it as "a spy action game about Snowden, an ex-secret service agent who got wrongly convicted of a crime he didn’t commit."

Players take control of Snowden and help him escape the authorities that are chasing him, guide him along paths changing gravity in a sci-fi world – collecting top secret documents to get info on how to save himself, as well as his country.

The game is an endless-runner, and includes laser-door traps and the promise of "mind-blowing 3D visual effects" from India-based developer Moong Labs, which previously developed Slap Thy Neighbor, Jump Monkey Jump and Viking Rush – Clan Defenders’ Glory Clash Chronicle.
