This new Medicaid deal extends an existing 12-year relationship between the company and the state’s Department of Human Services (DHS).
Under the new agreement, EDS said it will continue to provide fiscal agent services for the state’s Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS), including claims processing, systems management, provider relations, data analysis, surveillance utilization review, drug utilization review and premium billing and collection.
According to EDS, the award is its second Medicaid contract this year, having already signed a multi-year contract with Wisconsin to design, develop and implement its MMIS, building upon a 27-year relationship.
