Electronic Consulting Services (ECS), a provider of IT and system engineering services to the US Federal Government, was awarded a six year, $21m task order for Smart Conference Room Support under its information technology services-environmental protection agency blanket purchase agreement.
ECS said that the scope of this contract is to provide design, acquisition, installation, and personnel training for upgrading EPA meeting facilities to "smart" conference rooms.
"Smart" conference rooms merge audio, visual, and IT technologies in a total network offering that allows for multimedia presentations; video and/or audio teleconferencing; and capture, retrieval, and display of information from EPA data networks.
The company said that it is enhancing teleconferencing collaboration through a simultaneous mix of media including video, audio, and data from multiple sources which is combined with local control and remote accessing capabilities that enable communication and presentations.
