Econocom International NV of Paris has now picked up 23% of the equity in Decision Industries Inc, Horsham, Pennsylvania, and reckons that with the market slump, it no longer needs to pay the $11 a share it suggested in September. It is now tendering just $6 a share, characterised by the target, parent of Decision Data Computer, as not fair value for the company or its shareholders. Decision will seek all alternatives to the bid, which now values it at just $52m.
