For the past 18 months, a team of physicians, nurses, IT and other support staff have researched health care IT products, the hospital said in a release. The team chose the Eclipsys ‘Sunrise Clinical Manager’ based on detailed analysis, demonstrations, site visits to other hospitals and reference calls.
Sunrise Clinical Manager includes a shared health data repository, computerized physician order entry, clinical decision support rules and alerts, and evidence-based clinical content. The system’s integrated modules include specialized capabilities and views to meet the unique needs of the acute, ambulatory, emergency, critical care and pharmacy environments.
Liberty Hospital will start implementing the online patient information system in the next two years.
