On-demand manufacturing productivity applications provider EASE has released a new software module for Tool Management as a part of its EASEworks Manufacturing Productivity software system.
Tool Management will complement its existing manufacturing productivity software products that include: Engineered Labor Standards, Line Balancing, Work Instructions, Manufacturing Document Management, Manufacturing Change Control, Layered Process Audits and On-line ViewEASE.
EASEworks utlises a database driven approach to manage tool information to control and index all tool information, simplifying the process of sharing tool information and delivering it to the right person at the right time, regardless of tool type.
The new release includes tool groups & types that can be customised, tool detail to ensure that only "released" tools are used, search & find to locate tool information and revision controlled tool documentation.
It also includes automated calibration monitoring if tool calibration is required, supplier information & specifications for each tool, online viewing & drill-down for any authorised user and comes with an integrated Work Instructions and Manufacturing Document Management.
EASE CEO and president Michael Linos said the EASE Tool Management module manages all tool types throughout the enterprise regardless of location or process.
"EASEworks Tool Management provides streamlined, integrated and relevant data about tool usage, maintenance, and specifications," Linos said.
