Timberline Software Inc, Beaverton, Oregon provider of accounting and cost estimation software, has reported second-quarter net income up 38.9% at $2.3m on revenue up 26.9% at $13.3m. Earnings per share for the quarter rose 35.3% to $0.23, matching the consensus estimate of analysts surveyed by First Call. Overall software sales grew 28% year-over-year to $7.2m in the quarter, while service fees from support, consulting and training, which account for 44% of total revenue, rose 29% to $5.8m. For the six- month period, net income rose 61.1% at $4.5m on revenue up 34.1% at $26.6m. Earnings per share rose to 58.6% to $0.46.
