Supercom Ltd, the Tel Aviv, Israel-based identification technology software and services provider, has reported six-month net losses to September 30 of $836,000, down from net income of $108,000, on revenue that fell 57.4% to $3.1m. The company issued a profit warning in October blaming implementation delays in its projects in Slovakia and Brazil. The company had the same problem in its six monthly results to June 30 (CI No 3,735). Supercom also said that its losses were partly due to hiring staff for its subsidiary National Population Registry Ltd (NPR), a PC-based system for government storage of population information. ComputerWire reported SupercomÆs ambitions for NPR, including growing the business from four to 30 staff, in September (CI No 3,742).
