SanDisk Corp, Sunnyvale, California provider of flash memory products, has reported third-quarter net income up 160% at $6.5m on revenue up 111% at $67.5m. Earnings per share for the quarter rose 133.3% to $0.21, matching the consensus estimate of analysts surveyed by First Call. Product revenues rose 139% year-over-year to $57.6m, due primarily to increased sales of CompactFlash and MultiMediaCard products, and license and royalty revenues increased 25% to 9.9m. Nine-month net income rose 100% to $16.5m on revenue up 68.4% at $164.2m, while earnings per share rose 83.3% to $0.55. The company says it shipped 24% more units and 52% more megabytes than in the next-highest quarter in its history.
