Real Software Group NV, a Belgian IT services and software company, has reported a first half net profit up 54% at BFr124m ($3.25m) on revenue that rose BFr5bn ($312.7m). At the pre-tax level, profit was up 202% at BFr593m ($15.5m). Earnings per share (EPS) grew 41% at BFr8.8 ($0.23).

The Aartselaar-based company, which derives roughly a third of its revenue from the enterprise resource planning market, either from its own offering or from SAP implementations, has been in an acquisitive phase this year (CI No 3,693; 3,694).

The company attributed the expansion in its revenue to a combination of a high growth rate of the core group… and a number of targeted take-overs, plus strong growth in personnel. In addition, the net result before goodwill rose 303% in the first half, to BFr374m ($9.8m), while EPS before goodwill was up 270%, at BFr26.6 ($0.70).
