Directors of Kewill Systems Plc are backing increased investment to ensure that the Surrey, UK supply chain management company remains at the forefront of new internet technologies. In the six months to September 30, Kewill reported a net profit of 915,000 pounds ($1.4m), down from 1.6m pounds ($2.5m) on revenue up 30% at 35.7m pounds ($57.8m). Revenue in the electronic commerce division increased 78% to 11.8m pounds ($19.1m) while a concentration on the SME sector brought a 49% rise in ERP sales to 15.2m pounds ($24.6m). The one weak area was its logistics division where revenue fell 5.2% to 5.2m pounds ($8.4m).
