Interliant Inc, the Purchase, New York provider of internet hosting services, has reported a net loss of $14m in the second quarter to June 30 up from a loss of $1.7m on revenue of $10.6m, up from revenue of $844,678. Mid-term net loss was $21.8m up from a loss of $2.3m on revenue of $16m up from $857,804. Interliant raised $70m from an IPO last month and president James Lidestri said the company plans to invest in the companies it has acquired over the past 18 months and continue its acquisition strategy. Interliant claims to be one of the largest application service providers and generates 40% of its revenue from application hosting.
