Great Plains Software Inc, the Fargo, North Dakota-based financial software provider, has seen substantial growth on the back of new applications in human resources, e-commerce and manufacturing. The company reported net income of $4.3m for the fourth quarter ending May 31, up from a loss of $1.6m, on revenue that rose 52.9% to $40.1m. The firm turned an earnings per share loss of $0.12 into a positive figure of $0.28. In the results for the full year, Great Plains booked net income of $12.7m, up 187.4%, on revenue that rose 57.4% to $134.9m. EPS rose a similar 168.7% to $0.86.
