Altris Software Inc, San Diego-based provider of document management software, has reported a second-quarter net loss of $1.1m on revenue down 56.9% at $1.5m, compared to a loss of $1.6m in the year-ago quarter. On a per-share basis, the loss amounted to $0.11, although no estimates were available from First Call. For the six-month period, net loss was $3.5m on revenue down 40.2% at $3.9m, against a loss of $4.5m last year. The company says the decrease in sales primarily reflects the impact of no longer consolidating the results of the UK-based operations, of which a 60% stake was sold during the quarter.
