Gaming development company EA Sports has launched its subscription service EA Access for Xbox One owners for a subscription charge of £19.99 a year in the UK and $29.99 in the US.

Xbox One users from Australia, Canada, Austria, Germany, France, Ireland, Mexico Italy and New Zealand will be able to download and play a small collection of games from EA Sports.

The company will give access to its ‘Vault’. Initially the library will offer four games, FIFA 14, Battlefield 4, Madden NFL 25, and Peggle 2, and add more games in the future.

The membership will come with certain benefits, which include exclusive trials that would allow users to play certain games such as Dragon Age: Inquisition before their official releases.

Subscribers will also get a 10% discount on the games when they make the purchase through the Xbox One game store.

To access the service, users have to download the EA Access hub and follow the instructions.

Reports suggest that EA Access was offered to Sony for its Play Station 4 consoles, but the company turned down the offer because it did not think the content provided added value to its customers.
