DynCorp Wins $4 Million Communications Support Contract

COMPANY PRESS RELEASE : DynCorp a leading information technology and outsourcing solutions firm -- has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Army to provide communications support for the 111th Signal Battalion's Alternate Joint Communications Center (Site R). This effort is valued at $4.1 million for five years.

DynCorp and its partner, El Segundo, California-based Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), will provide support to Site R during the transition from

the Department of Defense’s (DoD) former dedicated military messaging system

AUTODIN-to the agency’s new Defense Messaging System (DMS). DynCorp also will provide support and training functions. The DynCorp/CSC team will manage the

DMS infrastructure components and their platforms, performing around-the-clock

operation at Level 10 Basic Operator Maintenance of DMS. The team will also

train newly assigned government employees on all aspects of DMS, its components, positions and operations.

The DynCorp legacy of providing sound, innovative solutions to the DoD,and the award of this contract strengthens our position as a leading providerof support to secure messaging systems and management of complex communications solutions, said DynCorp President and CEO Paul Lombardi. We are committed to providing the most effective and efficient solutions to our customers’ IT and communications challenges. Lombardi added that DynCorp has provided similar services under a separate contract for DMS-Government OpenSystems Interconnection Profile (GOSIP).
